About Us CH Fitness & Performance specializes in personal fitness training and athletic performance. Founded by US Olympian Cara Heads, with operations based in Long Beach, CA and Arlington, VA, CH Fitness & Performance takes a personal and passionate interest in tailoring programs to meet each client's specific goals. From specialty training to nutrition plans, while at home and on the road, every program is designed to get you results!
Cara Heads enjoyed an unprecedented and successful 18-year career as an Olympic weightlifter, earning 8 national championship titles, setting 2 American records, and representing the U.S. at 5 world championships. Cara also owns the highly coveted athletic title of Olympian as a part of the 2000 Olympic Team in Sydney and became the first and only African-American female to represent the U.S. in the Olympics in women’'s weightlifting. Her experience as a world-class athlete and weightlifting coach, has provided her with an understanding of what principles and values are essential for maximum personal achievement.
Cara’'s fun, accessible teaching style and motivating coaching philosophy ensures fitness enthusiasts and competitive athletes at all levels benefit from her extensive knowledge and experience.

Fitness Assessment
A fitness assessment is an important part of any responsible training program. The assessment objectively measures your current level of physical fitness. Without an effective fitness assessment growth cannot be accurately measured. CH fitness assessments incorporate many different methods to achieve accurate results.
Strength Training
If your goal is to develop strength, CH Fitness will design a program to increase your strength. As a former Olympic weightlifter Cara's vast knowledge will ensure that workouts don't get repetitive or boring while achieving maximum results.
Tracking Results
An important part of the process is tracking results. To maximize your progress, we need to continually monitor and adjust your program. This cannot be done effectively without proper monitoring and ongoing assessments. We can continually tailor your program so that you are getting what you need to achieve your goals.
Nutrition Counseling
Together we will develop a plan for healthy eating. I will guide you through the process and help you get through hurdles along the way.
Ongoing Training and Support
CH Fitness & Performance makes it a point to show you techniques to improve flexibility, strength, and cardiovascular endurance for a lifetime. You will learn valuable techniques that can be incorporated into your lifestyle for years to come.

With a proven track record for designing world-class programs, Cara consistently delivers increased strength and power with her clients.
