Report on 2016 NOVA Open

CHFP Weightlifting came to this year's NOVA Open with seventeen athletes competing, but it was a total team effort with many others counting, loading or helping with the meet serving as referees, marshalls and platform loaders. The NOVA Open offered many important milestones and achievements- first time competitors, American Open qualifying, 6 for 6 performances along with many athletes lifting personal bests . We had two athletes stepping onto the competition platform for the first time- Lena Mikulak and Coach Michael Goddard. Olympians support launch of Youth Weightlifting Program

On Friday, September 30, members of the USA Olympic Team for Weightlifting visited CH Fitness and Performance to help launch our partnership with the Boys and Girls Clubs of Greater Washington to promote the CHFP Youth Development Weightlifting Program set to begin on Wednesday, October 5. Our sincere thanks Olympian Morghan King, 2x Olympian and Bronze Medalist Sarah Robles and 3x Olympian Kendrick Yahcob Farris for being so generous with their time.
