CH Fitness and Performance is eager to share our weightlifting and strength and conditioning programming used by the athletes who train at our facility and by the CHFP Weightlifting Team.  Our program is based on the weightlifting programming principles developed by Dr. Kyle Pierce at Louisiana State University Shreveport (LSUS).  The program has been adapted by USAW International Coach Cara Heads Slaughter to serve a wide range of athletes- from beginners to elite, from Youth to Masters, and has produced multiple Team USA medalists in international competition,  American record holders, multiple Youth, Junior and Masters National Champions and dozens of medals at USAW national championships.

Off Season Programs

All competitive weightlifters, from intermediate to elite, benefit significantly from taking a break from the physical and mental rigor of preparing for competition. CHFP Weightlifting athletes are encouraged to identify an "off-season" each year to allow the body to recuperate and  recover and to enhance general physical preparedness for future training cycles.  CHFP Off Season programs emphasize general strength and conditioning, mobility, and attention to technique work on the snatch, the clean and the jerk at moderate intensity.

Online Coaching

The "Competitor": $100.00/month

The Competitor program is ideal for newer athletes or experienced competitive athletes with limited training time or for those who require additional recovery for maximum performance.

  • Customized 3 days/week programming updated and delivered each month

  • Weekly video analysis (up to two videos) and feedback by your CHFP Coach (USAW Level 2 or higher)

  • Full access to your program and your CHFP Coach through our TrueCoach platform and app

    • Access to exercise demonstration videos

    • Send a direct message to your CHFP Coach

    • Progress tracking: log results and visualize progress towards your specific goals over time

The "Podium": $125.00/month

The Podium program is perfect for athletes who want to take their performance in competition to the next level. This program is designed for intermediate to advanced weightlifters who aspire to compete in national-level and international-level competition.   

  • Customized 4 or 5 days/week programming updated and delivered to you each month

  • Weekly video analysis (up to four videos) and feedback by your CHFP Coach (USAW Level 2 or higher)

  • Full access to your program and your CHFP Coach through our TrueCoach platform and app

    • Access to exercise demonstration videos

    • Send a direct message to your CHFP Coach

    • Progress tracking: log results and visualize progress towards your specific goals over time
