Bradley on medal podium at Junior Nationals

Olympic Training Center resident athlete Jessie Bradley arrived at the 2016 National Junior Championships with two goals in mind- repeat as Junior National Champion in the 75 kg class and improve her qualifiying total for positions on Team USA for the Junior Pam Ams and Junior Worlds.

Jessie started off well in the snatch, going 2 for 3 and with 95 kg best lift on her second attempt and owning 2 kg advantage going into the clean and jerk. In the clean and jerk, Jessie made easy work of her first and second attempts of 111 kg anfd 114 kg. Going into third atmmpts she had a 6 kg lead over her closest competitor.

An unfortunate miss at 116 kg opened the door for Deirdre Lenzsch to hit a personal best 117 kg to capture the title by one kilo. All things considered, Jessie put in another top notch performance winning GOLD in the snatch, and SILVER in the clean and jerk and total while confirming her placement on Tean USA at Junior Pan Ams and Junior Worlds.
