Camargo Confirmed as Guest Coach for 2016 Weightlifting Mini Camp

International Coach Danny Camargo has been confirmed to join Olympian Cara Heads Slaughter as a guest coach for the 2016 Olympic Weightlifting Mini Camp on August 6-7, 2016 at CrossFit South Arlington.

Camargo is a 24-year veteran of Olympic Weightlifting. As an athlete, Camargo represented the United States of America in nine international competitions and set three American Records (Junior). Having been trained by some of the very best U.S. Coaches, Camargo is now, himself, a highly-regarded and sought-after coach. As a head coach, he has produced several State, Collegiate and National Champions, junior and senior American record holders, Team USA members at several World Championships, and served as a coach at the 2016 USA Olympic Team Trials. Camargo has been given several assignments by USA Weightlifting as a coach for Team USA- most recently as the Women's Team Head Coach at the 2016 Pan Am Championships, held in Columbia in June.

The two-day Olympic Weightlifting Mini Camp is an annual event that features intermediate and advanced training for the snatch and the clean & jerk with elite weightlifters and international coaches throughout a weekend.

Past mini camps have sold out each year and "guest coaches" have included 2x Olympian Kendrick Farris, 3x Olympian and Olympic medalist Cheryl Haworth, and International Coach Ursula Garza Papandrea.

Each mini camp offers two four-hour training sessions each day (AM and PM), limited to 20 athletes per session. For camp details and registration, click here. Use Promo code EARLY by June 15 to get special rate of $195.
