Bradley solid at IWF Jr. Worlds; Mine excels in Youth Nationals debut

Jessie Bradley put in a solid performance at the IWF Junior World Championships today in Tblisi, Georgia. Lifting in her third Jr. Worlds, Jessie went two for three in the snatch, successfully completing 93 kg and 96 kg on her first two attempts. She made her opening clean and jerk at 110 kg, missed 114 kg on her second, and completed 114 kg on her final attempt. She finished with a 210 kg total and an 8th place finish in the 75 kg weight class.

Jessie has been nursing a back injury since her gold medal winning performance at Jr Pan Ams in April which significantly hindered her training in prep for the USA Olympic Team Trials and Jr Worlds. Nevertheless, Jessie put in a gutty effort and her total was 13 kg higher than last year's showing at Jr Worlds.‪ The Women's Team finished in 9th place and the Men's Team finished 8th in the team standings.

CHFP athlete Matthew Mine put on spectacular performance at the USA Weightlifting National Youth Championships in Austin, TX. Lifting in his first national championship, Matthew went 5/6 with personal bests in the snatch [65 kg] and the clean and jerk [80 kg] to post a personal best total of 145 kg- 19 kg over his qualifying total.
