2x Olympian Oscar Chaplin III set for 2017 Mini Camp
We are delighted to announce that 2x Olympian Oscar Chaplin III will be our Elite Guest Coach for this year's Olympic Weightlifting Mini Camp which will be held on August 26-27. One of our most anticipated events of the year, our annual two-day Mini Camp features intermediate and advanced training with elite weightlifters and international coaches throughout a weekend.
Oscar is arguably among the greatest weightlifters in US history. He represented the United States in 2000 and 2004 at the Olympic Games in Sydney and Athens and won gold at the Junior World Championships in 2000. Oscar set American records in every weight class he competed in, and still currently holds several Junior and Senior American Records. In 2016, his remarkable career was celebrated with his induction into the USA Weightlifting Hall of Fame.
He was the Developmental Coach at the Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, and currently serves as Head Weightlifting Coach at Strength Power Speed in Oakland, California.
Registration opens on June 1. For more information about the camp, click here.
