CHFP Youth Athletes Excel at Junior Nationals

CHFP Weightlifting brought five athletes to the 2018 National Junior Championships- Youth athletes Morgan Bramble [53 kg], Natalie Andrews [58 kg], Delaney Edom [63 kg], and Avery Owens [75 kg]. Junior athlete Cole Bramble [94 kg] withdrew from the start list as a precaution for undiagnosed wrist pain. This year's event was held on February 16-18 at the Spokane Convention Center in Spokane, WA.

Fifteen year old Morgan Bramble put on a spectacular performance. Morgan was a perfect 6/6 with a competition best snatch of 58 kg, a PR clean and jerk of 79 kg and a PR total of 137 kg. Her PR performance earned a bronze medal in the clean and jerk and a 4th place finish in the total in the 53 kg class.
