CHFP participates in Olympic Day DC

CH Fitness and Performance had the opportunity to participate in the 2016 Olympic Day in Washington, DC on Friday, June 24 at City Center DC.

Olympic Day, held annually on June 23, is celebrated by millions of people in more than 160 countries. Commemorating the birth of the modern Olympic Games in 1894, Olympic Day's mission is to promote fitness, well-being, culture and education, while promoting the Olympic values of excellence, friendship and respect. The Olympic Day pillars – move, learn and discover – are promoted in every corner of the globe. From May 31-June 30, communities across the United States will celebrate Olympic Day 2016 through educational programming and other activities.

Sponsored by Events DC, the event featured demonstrations as well as opportunities to experience several Olympic sports including boxing, fencing, Paralympic basketball, pole vaulting, wrestling and weightlifting.

A huge thanks to Alissa Gordon and Emily Baskin for serving as great ambassadors for weightlifting at this year's event.‪
