Owens, Andrews selected to Junior, Youth Team USA Squads
CHFP Weightlifting athletes Avery Owens and Natalie Andrews have been named to the TEAM USA rosters for the 2020 Junior Pan Am and 2020 Youth World squads, respectively. This is Avery's fifth selection to an international team and second in 2020 having also been selected to the 2020 squad for the Junior World Championships. Avery earned selection through her performance at the Rogue Weightlifting Challenge, a Bronze-level international event in March. Avery produced a solid performance combining a PR snatch of 90 kg with a best clean and jerk of 112 kg for a 202 kg total.

Natalie was selected as a reserve for the squad that will compete at the Youth World Championships in Lima, Peru earning her first selection to an international team. Natalie earned her selection at the Team USA Virtual Selection Camp for the Youth World Championships. Natty [71 kg] posted a 178 kg total with 3 personal bests in the snatch with successful attempts at 79, 80 and 81 kg and followed with two successful PR attempts in the clean and jerk at 94 kg and 97 kg.
